June 4 Hannah leaves hometown San Francisco, CA and travels cross-country to Newark, NJ
June 5 Hannah departs the USA once and for all (until the fall) for Nairobi, Kenya via London. After arriving in Nairobi, she travels by mutatu (private taxi) four hours north to the Mpala Research Center.
June 6 Elizabeth follows hot on the heels of Hannah, flying out of JFK in home state New York bound for Nairobi, Kenya (also via London)
June 10 Following a week-long orientation with Seureca in Nairobi, Elizabeth sets off once again for coastal Mombasa, where she will work with Seureca for the remainder of the summer.
August 24 Hannah goes back to San Francisco.
August 28 Elizabeth finally returns to the good old US of A and home on Long Island, only to leave home again, bound for Princeton University and junior year on August 30th.
